I’m constantly striving to be the best at whatever I do, whether it’s working or playing. I’m noted for my intensity, goal achievement, and attention to detail. No excuses. But life should be fun, too, and I know how to do that as well. Laughter is no stranger. But at the end of the day, I’ll get you what you want.
I’ve been lucky enough to have three amazing careers before becoming a REALTOR®: a professor (the rumor I earned an Ivy League Ph.D. is true, I’m afraid), teaching at places like Stanford and Boise State; VP of Sales & Marketing at an internationally recognized Boise aviation company; and a high school English teacher. Idaho became my home in 2000, and my family and I love life here, especially the abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation. We’re avid bird hunters, hikers, skiers, and cyclists. I’m also a bagpiper, serious home-brewer, and writer.
I’ve chosen to enter the real estate profession at what is arguably the worst time in decades. My multifaceted professional background, though, gives me an advantage: I’ve adapted to numerous profound changes by using my intensity and attention to detail to excel.
When I taught college, my research and writing were widely recognized by my peers, and I became an authority in my field (jazz music history). As an aviation industry sales & marketing exec, which happened purely by chance and without any prior experience, I was able to grow a little mom-and-pop aviation company into an international market leader in just a few short years. As a teacher in rural Idaho, I pushed my students to achieve things way beyond their dreams, and helped many students become the first in their families to go to college.
I’m finding it fascinating to learn everything I can about the real estate industry, best practices, research, and using social media (a real double-edged sword, in my opinion) to become as expert and efficient as possible. In a word, I’m incredibly excited about this new opportunity, and excited to help you make your location dreams a reality!
